I recently purchased a Minolta XG-1 from Guy's Frenchies (thrift store). It is a 35mm camera, it came with a leather bag, a light filter (I think) two lenses, and a strap. It was well worth the $5 price tag. Today I bought a pack of three film for it, they are fujifilm 400 ASA.
I learning a lot about (fr the lack of a better word) 'retro' photography. I am interested in the different shutter speeds, aperature sizes, and the manual focus. This should be a fun toy.
My plan of action is to set it up with a make shift tripod and take still shots of nature, then have the film processed online. Hopefully this produces great photos.
The photos whether good or bad, will be scanned and posted in another blog post.
Any help is welcome, as I do not know much about photography.
